Merging PDFs means joining several files into a single one. People do this to send one file instead of five, to combine scanned pages, or to put an application together in the right order.

Steps

1. Open the Merge PDF tool.
2. Tap Choose files and select two or more PDFs. You can also drag them in.
3. Use the up and down arrows to put the files in the order you want. The first file becomes the first pages.
4. Press Merge PDFs, then Save file.

Common uses

• Putting a resume, certificates and ID proof into one file for a job form
• Joining the pages of a long assignment scanned in parts
• Combining bills and receipts for a reimbursement claim

Tips

• Check the order before merging. Rotating a sideways page first saves rework.
• Large scanned files make a large result. Many online forms limit uploads to 2 MB or 5 MB, so check the size shown after merging.

Are my files uploaded?
No. The merge happens in your browser, so the files stay on your device.

Can I merge a password protected PDF?
Not yet. Remove the password in the app that created it, then merge.

Open Merge PDF

Splitting a PDF lets you keep only the pages you need, or break one big file into single pages. This is useful when a form asks for only one page of a longer document.

Steps

1. Open the Split PDF tool and add your PDF. The page count appears under the file name.
2. Choose what to do. Extract chosen pages makes one new PDF. Every page separately gives a ZIP file with one PDF per page.
3. For chosen pages, type them like this: 1-3, 5, 8- . A dash with nothing after it means to the last page.
4. Press the button, then Save file.

Page range examples

• 1-3 gives pages 1, 2 and 3
• 2, 4, 6 gives only those three pages
• 5- gives page 5 to the end

Good to know

• The original file is never changed. You get a new file.
• A ZIP file needs to be opened before you can use the pages inside. Most phones can open it in the Files app.

Questions

Can I split into two halves?
Yes. Run the tool twice: once with 1-5 and once with 6- (for a 10 page file).

Why does it say pages must be between 1 and a number?
You typed a page number that the file does not have. The tool shows the real page count above the box.

Sometimes a scanned file has a blank page, a duplicate, or a page you do not want to share. Removing pages gives you a clean copy without opening any special software.

Steps

1. Open the Remove pages tool and add your PDF.
2. Type the pages to delete, for example 2, 4-6. The tool tells you how many pages the file has.
3. Press Remove pages. It shows how many pages are left.
4. Press Save file. Your original stays as it was.

Before you share a document

• Open the result and scroll through it once to be sure the right pages are gone.
• Removing a page from a PDF is different from hiding text. Deleted pages are not in the new file.

Limits

• You cannot remove every page. At least one must stay.
• To keep only a few pages, the Split tool is faster.

Questions

Does this lower the quality?
No. The remaining pages are copied as they are.

Can I get a deleted page back?
Only from your original file, so keep it.

Scanners and phone apps often save pages sideways. Rotating the pages fixes how the file opens everywhere, not just on your screen.

Steps

1. Open the Rotate PDF tool and choose your PDF.
2. You will see a small picture of every page. Press the arrow under a page to turn just that page left or right.
3. To turn every page, press Turn all right or Turn all left. Reset puts everything back.
4. Press Save rotated PDF, then Save file.

Good to know

• Turns add up: pressing right twice gives 180 degrees.
• The text stays searchable. Rotation only changes how the page is shown.

Open Rotate PDF

A PDF is easier to send than ten separate photos. This is handy for scanned documents taken with a phone camera, handwritten notes, or ID cards.

Steps

1. Open the Photos to PDF tool.
2. Choose your photos. On a phone you can pick several from the gallery at once.
3. Arrange them with the up and down arrows. The first photo is page 1.
4. Press Create PDF, then Save file.

Getting a clear result

• Take photos in good light with the page flat and filling the frame.
• Hold the phone straight above the page to avoid slanted edges.
• Photos are fitted to an A4 page with a small margin.

Questions

Can I mix portrait and landscape photos?
Yes. Each photo is fitted on its own A4 page.

Is there a limit on photos?
No fixed limit. Very many large photos can be slow on an older phone, so try in smaller batches.

Steps

1. Open the Word to PDF tool and choose your .docx file.
2. Press Convert to PDF.
3. Press Save file.

Good to know

Text, headings, bullet lists, tables and pictures are kept. Fonts and page layout are simplified, so check the result before you send it. Hindi and other non-English letters are not supported in this tool yet. If your file is an old .doc, open it in Word and use Save As .docx first.

Turn a spreadsheet into a PDF that anyone can open. Each sheet becomes its own section.

Steps

1. Open the Excel to PDF tool and choose your .xlsx, .xls or .csv file.
2. Press Convert to PDF.
3. Press Save file.

Good to know

Very wide sheets are split into parts so the text stays readable. Colours, charts and merged cells are not kept, only the cell text. Only the first 5000 rows of a sheet are used.

Move a table from a PDF into Excel so you can sort and calculate.

Steps

1. Open the PDF to Excel tool and choose your PDF.
2. Press Convert to Excel.
3. Press Save file and open it in Excel.

Good to know

This works best when the PDF has real text, such as a bank statement downloaded from a website. Scanned PDFs and photos also work, because the text is read by OCR. Choose the right language (English, Hindi or both) and use a clear, straight scan. You get one sheet per page. Always check the columns, since tables in PDFs do not always line up perfectly.

Open PDF to Excel

Get the text from a PDF into a Word file so you can edit it.

Steps

1. Open the PDF to Word tool and choose your PDF.
2. Press Convert to Word.
3. Press Save file and open it in Word.

Good to know

You get the text, ready to edit. The page design, columns and pictures are not kept. Scanned PDFs and photos also work, because the text is read by OCR. Choose the right language (English, Hindi or both). The first scan takes longer because the language data is downloaded once. Always check spelling and numbers afterwards.

Open PDF to Word

Fill in a form, add your name, sign a document or mark something on a page without printing it.

Steps

1. Open the Edit PDF tool and choose your PDF.
2. Pick Text, tap on the page where the words should go, type, then tap outside the box.
3. For a signature, pick Signature, sign in the box, press Place on page, then drag it into position. Use Bigger or Smaller to resize it.
4. Use Draw, Line, Box, Circle or Highlight for marks. Pick a colour first.
5. Use Next and Previous to change pages. Press Save edited PDF when done, then Save file.

Good to know

• You can move, resize or delete anything you added. Undo takes back the last change.
• You cannot change text that is already in the PDF. Whiteout covers it with a white box, but the hidden text can still be copied by others, so do not use it to hide private details.
• Hindi text works too.
